Welcome

Welcome!

Vermont Suzuki Violins is a non-profit organization which nurtures and inspires young musicians to play, perform and appreciate classical music. We provide Suzuki group classes for all levels and an advanced Chamber Music Program.  We are carrying on the vision of the renowned pedagogue, Dr. Shinichi Suzuki, who believed that talent can be developed in any child, and that music creates worldwide peace and understanding.

We hold many concerts each year, an annual workshop in the fall and a gala soirée in the spring. We host the Burlington area annual Used Instrument Sale every September.  We provide opportunities for our students to share what they do with the community. We have played at the State House, the Stowe Arts Festival, the Shelburne Library, numerous retirement homes and Farmer’s Markets, Lake Monsters baseball games and on Church Street. We like to show off our teamwork, focus and energy. Please check our calendar to see our upcoming performances.

And be sure to check out the awesome article in the Burlington Free Press about our 2009 Soiree.

As Pablo Casals said in 1961, after witnessing his first Suzuki concert of 400 children, ”. . . perhaps it is music that will save the world.
